187FW Career Day for high school students slated for May 10

The 187th Fighter Wing will host a Career Day for high school juniors and seniors on Fri., May 10, 2013 between the hours of 9 a.m until 4 p.m. The event is intended to give high school students a sense of opportunities that are available in the Air National Guard.

Attendees will learn  about the 187th Fighter Wing's contribution to the nation, the state and the local community.

Multiple F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft will be on display throughout the day.  Several will also fly during the morning and afternoon.  Additionally, representatives from many of the career fields will be present to speak with those attending.  Attendees will also learn about money available to pay for college, $20,000 bonuses for certain critical career fields,  and the advantages of holding a part-time job that yields big-time benefits.

The 187th Fighter Wing is located just past Montgomery Regional Airport at 5187 Selma Highway.
