Col. James C. Hall is the Deputy Commander of the 187th Fighter Wing, Dannelly Field, Ala. The primary mission of the 187th Fighter Wing is to provide the State governor, National Command Authority, and Combatant Commanders with a superbly organized, trained, and equipped F-35A Aviation Package and support functions for world-wide combat and peacetime/ humanitarian tasking in support of community, state, and national interests
Col. Hall graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 2000. Following undergraduate pilot training at Columbus Air Force Base, Miss., he flew the F-16 Fighting Falcon and RQ-170 Sentinel. In 2013, Col. Hall joined the Alabama Air National Guard where he has deployed in support of operations ENDURING FREEDOM, INHERENT RESOLVE and NOBLE EAGLE. As a command pilot, he has more than 1800 hours in the F-16. Prior to his current assignment, Col. Hall served as the Operations Group Commander for the 187th Fighter Wing. In his civilian capacity, Col. Hall is a pilot with a major airline.
